Kells' lawyers have acted for and against local councils and state agencies for over 40 years. We are currently retained to act for a number of greater metropolitan and rural councils and state agencies and regularly acts for clients who have disputes with other councils.

Partner, Paul Magagnino, leads the Local Government, Planning and Environment team. Paul is assisted by Mark Cottom and Special Counsel, Michael Mantei, who is a Law Society of NSW Accredited Specialist in Local Government, Environment and Planning Law.

The Local Government, Planning and Environment team works closely with the firm's commercial and property accredited specialists to provide the firm's commercial clients with complete and comprehensive advice. We are a one stop shop when it comes to property development from advising on corporate structures and investment vehicles to obtaining necessary planning approvals to the purchase and sale of property.
