In late 2010, Mark Cottom represented a local council at a Land and Environment Court hearing relating to an appeal against the refusal of a development application and building certificate arising from unlawfully-erected garage enclosures in the basement car park of a residential flat building.
After a one-day hearing at which Mark appeared for the Council, reserved judgement was handed down on 1 June 2011 and the Council was successful in having both appeals dismissed.
