Kells Becomes First Australian Member Of The International Society Of Primerus Law Firms

Kells is the first Australian law firm to be recognised as a member of Primerus, a society of International Law Firms that has 180 member law firms based in over 125 cities and 35 countres.

To become a member of Primerus, a law firm must adhere to Primerus' 'six pillars', being: Integrity, excellent work product, reasonable fees, continuing legal education, civility and community service.

Following Kells’ membership of Primerus, managing partner, Paul Magagnino, attended the inaugural International Practice Group meeting in London on 13 May.

At the inaugural conference Paul had the opportunity to meet representatives of member firms from across Europe as well as a number of the Asia-Pacific members.

Paul Magagnino comments: “Kells recent and current clients include: a global mining engineering business with headquarters in Germany in relation to Australian based M & A work, a Singaporean-based owner of hospitality and land assets across Australia, a United Arab Emirates based global property group in respect of its new Australian development and a specialist niche Australian company with patents and licensing arrangements in numerous countries around the world.

Our commercial team is currently acting on a sale of shares in a Mongolian registered mining company to Australian investors for a subsequent IPO. It is hard to ignore that we are part of a global community and Primerus gives us ‘on the ground’ access to appropriately vetted lawyers with similar ideals and values to those of Kells around the world”.
