Kells entered a team into the Accor Amazing Race fundraiser held in Wollongong on Friday 20th July.
The Kells team came first in the fundraising stakes, raising $2,270 for Mission Australia! The funds raised came from generous donations made by clients, staff and local business owners.
The Kells team consisting of Amanda Madruga, Alia Pretki, Ellie-Mae Dodge and Alex Thompson competed against other teams representing local businesses across a 10km course in Wollongong.
"Participating in the Amazing Race was a very challenging and fun experience" said Amanda Madruga. "We completed the race in just less than 2.5 hours, completing 24 challenges throughout the course, including dancing to Zumba on a stage in the Wollongong mall during lunch hour, busking outside a local church in costume to raise $5, body surfing in the cool waters of North Wollongong beach, undertaking a physically gruelling commando course, taking a tai chi class and participating in a job interview for a French pastry chef (with accent of course!) Not only was the day an exciting experience; we also developed team building skills and raised money for a very worthy cause".
