Ellen Collins

About 

Ellen is a successful lawyer based in our Shellharbour family law practice. She grew up in the Fine Wool Capital of the World, Goulburn and relocated to the Illawarra region to complete her studies to become a lawyer. Ellen is known for being organised, determined and motivated. 

What she does

Ellen has practised in family law exclusively since 2019 and represents clients across all areas of family law matters including contested and uncontested parenting applications and cases which have resulted in no time arrangements and supervised time arrangements. She has also acted in urgent recovery applications, relocation matters and assisting families to safeguard against family violence and other associated risks. 

Ellen has represented people in family dispute resolution conferences and conciliation conferences, divorce hearings and interim and final hearings.

I aim to make the process as simple as possible and provide a personalised approach to each individual client with the goal of resolving the matter without the need for court intervention. I am able to use my legal knowledge and experience to provide practical advice to my clients which assists them in making decisions about the best way to progress their matter.”

Qualifications 

Ellen’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wollongong and holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She is admitted to the Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia.

Outside of Kells

Ellen enjoys reading, walking, spending time with family and friends. She likes to keep fit through attending regular pilates and gym classes.
