Franca Parolin

About

Franca is a senior associate in our family law practice, having joined the Kells Shellharbour office as a lawyer in 2001. She practices exclusively in family law, mediation and collaborative law. Franca grew up in the Illawarra and is known for being considerate and conscientious. 

What she does

Franca has extensive experience in family law disputes arising from the breakdown of marriages and de facto relationships. Franca also has valuable expertise in the resolution of property settlements.  

“Having been a lawyer for over 38 years I have gained insight into dealing with people in high conflict situations".  

Franca delivers a confident attitude in negotiating matters and has become active in assisting clients to resolve their disputes through alternate dispute methods including mediation and the collaborative law process which promotes more co-operation and less litigation to achieve a solution for a client’s problem. 

Community Involvement

Franca is the vice president of Collaborative Family Lawyers Illawarra and Shoalhaven and former president (2012 to 2016). 

Qualifications

Interestingly Franca has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Italian and French. She also has a Bachelor of Law and has completed her National Accreditation as a Mediator and Collaborative Law training.  

Life Outside Kells

Outside the office, Franca enjoys spending quality time reading novels and will be found socialising with family and friends in and around Wollongong.
