Mark is an experienced property and commercial lawyer based in our Wollongong office. Having spent many years in Taiwan and China, Mark is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He is known for being inquisitive, sardonic and humorous and is valued by his clients for his commitment and work ethic.
What he does
Mark has many years’ experience in direct foreign investment, property development and advisory work. More recently, Mark has been exposed to a wide range of commercial matters and developed a special interest and expertise in planning and environment law.
Currently undertaking a Masters in Environmental and Planning Law at Sydney University, Mark has a particular interest in assisting Council clients and developers navigate the planning regime and environmental issues.
Who Mark works with
Mark assists a number of local Councils with development, enforcement and compliance work, as well as private owners and developers seeking to understand the NSW planning system and environmental legislation.
He has a Bachelor of Law (Hons), a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) and a Graduate Diploma in Environment and Planning Law from Sydney University.
Life Outside Kells
Having grown up in Newcastle, Mark likes to spend his time out of the office in the surf and searching for good coffee. He also likes to be at home with his family playing (and mostly losing) board games.
