Paul Magagnino

About

Paul is the managing partner of the firm and is also the lead of the commercial property and property development, local government, planning and environment teams. He grew up locally in Wollongong however spends a lot of his time in Sydney these days and is known in the business community for being reliable and unwavering.  

What he does

Paul has been involved in a diverse range of legal matters including contract law, planning and property development, local government, coronial inquests, commissions of inquiry and disciplinary tribunals (ICAC), general litigation, debt recovery and insolvency, banking and finance. These days Paul focuses on complex contract law, business and corporate advice, property development transactions, leasing and local and state government affairs, their commercial transactions and coronial inquests  

When it comes to his client’s needs, Paul is determined, passionate and driven.  

“I’ve always believed that my strength as a commercial lawyer lies in my ability to provide pragmatic straight talking solutions in my approach to problem solving for clients. I’ve also been practising for over 30 years, which means I’ve seen just about everything. As a result, I listen and digest what my clients want to achieve and I’m well-equipped to tailor solutions to the specific needs of my clients.”

Vision for Kells

“As Managing Partner, I’ve concentrated on creating a Sydney and Illawarra footprint for the firm. A lot of my work has been focused on people because we want to preserve the culture of the firm, which we believe is one of our strongest assets. We’re focused on finding the right people and giving them the support they need. It’s an exciting time to be at Kells and I’m looking forward to building a strong and united firm with my fellow partners from the Sydney and Illawarra region.” 

Life Outside Kells

Paul will be found socialising with family and friends, he enjoys playing all sports, particularly tennis, cycling and motor racing, he loves his Italian cars with his favourite destination is, not surprisingly, Italy.
