What he does
Peter assists his clients who have become involved in commercial or other disputes with this involving alternative dispute resolution where possible but otherwise by the commencement or defence of court proceedings where necessary. This has involved conducting matters in virtually all courts and Tribunals in NSW. Peter also assists clients charged with criminal offences and those needing assistance to resolve family law issues primarily involving property. Peter also advises clients in respect to insurance and compensation claims, as well as wills and estates with this extending to disputed wills and provision claims in the Supreme Court of NSW.
“One of the privileges of legal practice is that you get invited into your client’s lives at a time they need help, be it when they are taking on new challenges in business or in more difficult times when they are dealing with a problem or dispute that can be not only all consuming but the outcome of which may seriously impact not only on their well-being but also that of their families. To assist people to get through these periods in their lives and to move on with a positive outcome is really rewarding and keeps me going.”
Peter has a Bachelor of Arts with the degree of Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University and is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales.
Peter is a member of the Kiama and District Business Chamber and has been a member of the Austinmer Otters Winter Swimming Club since 2006 with over 300 winter swims.
Life Outside Kells

He has a lifetime addiction to surfing and enjoys sailing small boats, reading and music, live music in particular. Peter regards the passing of Michael Weiley of V.Spy.V.Spy in 2018 as the loss of one of the greatest talents of his generation.
